Growing up in the countryside of Sweden, I vividly remember picking spring flowers along country roads and forest trails.
This year’s super bloom here in Southern California has taken spring flowers to a whole new level.
Miles long canyons covered with California Poppies and other native plants have created what looks like a giant impressionist painting.
Seeing the sun shining its bright light over the explosion of color with the clear blue sky as a background, made my heart beat a little faster for a minute.
What a stunning sight!
And even though the little girl in me wanted to bring an armful of these orange beauties home, capturing them in photographs was an even greater joy, with the added bonus they will last forever.
